Many so-called theologians and Christians are making the mistake to identify Israel as the Jewish people and vice versa. Even the present Jewish people are claiming the name of Israel. We ought to know better whether that Abraham was a Jew. Well if Abraham would have been a Jew all of his descendants would have been Jews. Abraham was a Shemite a descendant of Shem the son of Noah. Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, and Samuel were no Jews. Neither were Mordechai and Esther for they were from the tribe of Benjamin. Prophets were no Jews, they all were Israelites. The apostles of Lord Jesus were of the tribe of Judah. The apostle Paul was a Benjaminite.
Descendants of Shem eldest son of Noah: — Genesis 10:21-32 and Genesis 11:10-32. Presently known as Sephardic Jews.
Descendants of Ashkenaz son of Gomer, son of Japeth, son of Noah: — Genesis 10:31.Presently known as Ashkenaz Jews
Both Houses Israel and Judah are to this day still separated. It is important to know that Judah (fourth son of Leah and Jacob) was elected to bring forth the Messiah from the root of Jesse — Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
This happened in the Flesh through Mary — Luke 1:31 And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son and shalt call His Name Jesus.
And through the Resurrection of Jesus Christ — Luke 24:34 Saying The Lord is risen indeed and hath appeared to Simon.
Judah also was elected to proclaim the Christian doctrine. To confess and spread this message throughout the world. A small group converted and later more people of the tribe of Judah converted to Christianity. Not only the so-called Jews but also many Christians consider the present Jewish people God’s chosen people while in fact, they are not. By this claim, the Jews think they are superior to any other people.
After Babylon was conquered the Persian king Cyrus allowed the people of Judah to return to their Homeland. Only a small part of the inhabitants of the tribe of Judah, Benjamin and Levi returned. After the return of their captivity, they started to rebuild the temple. Mainly the elders of the tribes did occupy themselves with the reconstruction of the temple and they did so according to God’s instructions.
— Ezra 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the Word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his
kingdom, and put it also in writing saying
— Ezra 1:2 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
— Ezra 1:3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (He is the God,) Which is in Jerusalem.
— Ezra 1:4 And whosoever remaineth in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.
— Ezra 5:1 Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all them whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
The Dedication of the Temple was celebrated, however, the House of Judah was never restored. Many claim, that Judah has assimilated with other peoples and has totally, ceased to exist. The Bible mentions that both Houses Judah and Israel still do exist. God promised that the Day will come that He will gather Judah and Israel together.
